What's in the Next Issue?
Choosing A Web HostYou have a website. Simple, right? Maybe. Maybe not. Just to make it work, you need an ISP to connect, a web host to serve, email servers to route requests and block spam, a domain registrar, domain name server, and possibly back up services for each one. On your web host alone you’ve got the file server, app server, and database, possibly arranged in mind-numbing tiers.
You could have one service provide everything, but you might be paying for services you don't need or worse – paying for bad service without knowing it. You could juggle multiple providers – and a dozen new passwords.
You could always go back to paper.
In July’s InSite we’ll review how to choose your web host by deciding what services you need now and in the near future, and then balancing reliability, security and cost.
Subscribing is easy, only slightly painful, and absolutely free or your money back. Honest.
